>The Thankfulness Song

>
As my husband so nicely pointed out over on his blog today, Thanksgiving is not supposed to be about a turkey. It’s about being grateful for what we have, for our families, and for all the blessings God has given us. This has been very easy for me to focus on this year, because I’ve been driving around for the past week listening to Nathan’s personalized Veggie Tales CD. One of my favorite songs on the CD is called The Thankfulness Song, and it’s a duet between Junior the Asparagus and his mom. Junior is adorable with a cute little kid voice, and the melody of this song is very cute and catchy. Here are some lyrics:

I thank God for this day
For some time to play outside
For the birds in the trees
For His love that’s deep and wide
For the air that I breathe
For my friends and family
That’s why I say “Thanks” every day!

Nathan’s thankful heart is a happy heart
I’m glad for what I’ve got
That’s an easy way to start!

For the love that He shares
As He listens to my prayers
That’s why I say “Thanks” every day!

I thank God for this night
For the stars in the sky
For the hug from my mom
For my special lullabye
For the chance to have rest
For the ways that I am blessed
That’s why I say “Thanks” every day!

If you want to here a sample of the melody, click on this link and then scroll down and click on the Thankfulness Song link to preview. This is a slightly different version than on Nathan’s CD. That version can be heard at this link, but again you have to scroll down to The Thankfulness Song and click on the link.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!!
