>Breakfast with Santa

>Yesterday morning my MOPS group hosted a Breakfast with Santa event for our kids. It involved donuts and crafts and of course, Santa. Nathan got all dressed up like a little elf, and enjoyed some muffins and grapes with the other kids. Then he sat down to write a letter to Santa and put stickers all over it.

Then Nathan put the letter in Santa’s mailbox.

He colored and decorated a little bag. Then we made some reindeer food to sprinkle out on the lawn Christmas Eve. It was oatmeal with different colored sugar sprinkles that are supposed to twinkle in the moonlight. Yeah right.

Then came our turn to visit Santa and get a picture. Nathan watched intently as a few little boys and girls hopped up on Santa’s lap. When I proceeded to hand him over to Santa he screamed bloody murder and cried and clung to me for dear life. So they gave him a candycane and told us to try a little later. We sat and watched kid after kid happily tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. After awhile I tried again, but I got the same response. So we walked around a bit and this was the best I got.

Then all the kids gathered around Santa, sang Happy Birthday to Jesus, and Santa blew out candles on a cake. Weird, eh?

  1. >EH??? What are you making fun of me huh? Yes, that is a bit weird. Actually reminds me of a quote from The Office this week… “Happy Birthday Jesus, sorry your part is so lame” Nevermind. Have a great weekend.

  2. >So sweet. What a handsome little guy!

  3. >Yes I’m totally making fun of you. NOT. We say “eh” to every once in awhile, just not every sentence like you do.
