>In Current Rotation

I haven’t had too much time to listen to my iPod lately, but I still love it. I recently bought a clock radio that I could plug my iPod into with the intent of waking up to my favorite tuneage. I needed to replace the CD player alarm clock I used to have on my bedstand because the idiot carpet cleaner people threw it upside down on my bed in order to clean under the bedstand and in the process broke the latch that holds the lid down. Unfortunately I stupidly bought a super cheapo Timex version of the iPod alarm clock, which I later found out does not have an actual dock for the iPod, just a rinky dink cord attachment, which doesn’t even provide power for the iPod. So now I must return it and get a better one.

In the meantime I have been updating my playlists. Here are my top 10 favorite new songs at the moment.

1. Missed the Boat – Modest Mouse

2. Read My Mind – The Killers

3. Talk of the Town – Jack Johnson (Discovered this one while watching Curious George with the Natester)

4. No One – Alicia Keys (My favorite to sing along VERY LOUDLY to in the car)

5. Apologize – OneRepublic featuring Timbaland

6. Viva la Vida – Coldplay (Despite being overplayed, this song is great)

7. Time to Pretend – MGMT (I just wanna say I fell in love with this song long before Dooce posted about it)

8. Falling Slowly – The Frames (Also loved this song long before the movie, long before the Oscar…but it was deserving)

9. Don’t Stop the Music – Rihanna

10. 4 Minutes – Madonna

  1. >I really, really like Modest Mouse. Great list. Have you heard Paul Oakenfold’s remix of Madonna’s newer song “Give It 2 Me?” It’s awesome to listen to while doing cardio!

  2. >I like 4 and 5. Number 10, the song makes no sense. 4 minutes to save the world from what? Plus what crisis would we have that Madonna and Justin Timberlake would be the answer? Do we have to win a singing and dancing contest against aliens?

  3. >Lori, I haven’t heard it but I love Paul Oakenfold so I’ll be sure to check it out! r42k, I know what you’re saying, but it’s catchy. I like good dance music.
