>After Lex was here

After Lex was here
Originally uploaded by Mainline Mom

This is what the house looked like after Lex and I finished working on the landscaping. My snaps are kinda flopped over, hopefully they will stand up straight when their roots get established. But I like that I can really SEE my front door now, it’s not obscured by crazy huge bushes.

I also forgot to mention that Lex and I saw the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You” on Sat. It was cute, very cute. I was bummed that the hot married guy ended up cheating on his wife, but I was glad Ben Affleck finally proposed to JA. Since I’ve been following John Mayer on Twitter (yes, it’s true…and Karl Rove and Jimmy Fallon) I’ve taken to referring to his girlfriend as JA because he does. He is really WEIRD by the way, despite writing great music.

UPDATE: By the way, this is what the house looked like before…this is from last summer.

  1. >Your house looks great! I’m impressed. Can’t wait for the warm weather to start planting some flowers myself. My sister and I saw that movie. I was a bit disappointed – the infidelity really bothered me too.

  2. >The landscaping looks great! I have an odd question, though. Why do only the windows on the right side of the door have shutters?

  3. >It’s not an odd question, it’s a good question that I have asked myself. All of the other houses in our neighborhood that are the same model have the same thing…but it looks weird to me. I don’t get it.

  4. >I definitely like the “after” look. You can see the house, more.I agree that Mr. Mayer is quite strange but I love his music.
